About John Munley

Author

My Story

John Munley wanted to believe in God, but not unless and until he could find Him.
He wasn’t satisfied with just what he’d experienced in mass or with what he’d heard from others. But after years, he finally found the encounter he’d been longing for in an unlikely place — a retreat to fix his broken marriage.

In just one weekend, his and his wife’s lives were turned upside down, and so began a decades-long journey of faith. But as first-generation followers, they didn’t have family, friends, or church background to fall back on, leaving them fumbling to figure everything out on their own…

In this book – part memoir, part biblical guide for a lifelong walk with Jesus – Reverend Munley graciously illuminates the mis-steps, wrong turns, and redirections of his life in the hopes that others can learn from them too – first generation Christians or not.

Financial ruin, loss, mutinous congregations, and ongoing health battles are just a few of the things he’s walked with Jesus through, and yet his life story is full of hope, faith, and endurance. Through it all, the two sets of footprints in the path he’s walked spell out “worth any cost.”
